Mt Everest

Khumbu is a region in north-eastern Nepal. It boasts a variety of opportunities and activities. With caves, an airport, hotels, restaurants, café, museums, monasteries, trails and markets, there is always something available to do. (Bindloss, J., Holden, T., and Mayhew, B. 2009) 

The region is the home to Mt Everest and its amazing surrounds.  The Sagarmatha National Park covers most of the Khumbu Region and is home to a range of endangered animals. There are many trails visitors can trek to explore the area. Basic lodges are available for accommodation.
